Hello I have a 1997 intrepid and it has the leeky oring problem that they all have. I went to the dealer and found out the other owner had i fixed once so the warenty will not cover it and they wanted 300 for just the parts,
I have found O rings online for sale but im not sure if they are the right ones, if anyone knows the exact part name or is willing to email me ill send then the link to the parts im looking at

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me with a specific question. Ever since I bought my 2002 Intrepid R/T, I've had problems with the CEL. When it was on warranty I would take it into the dealer and they would check it out and each time they would tell me that everything was okay, check the gas cap - make sure it's on tight, or buy gas at a different station, etc. Anyway it has been doing it for quite some time now and I'm wondering if it could be the 02 sensor. Has anyone had a similar experience with the CEL? Is the 02 sensor a probable culprit (I have 57,000 miles on it)? Is there a way to check the 02 sensor? Aren't there two of them? Thanks.

Hi. all just found your web site and as i own a ex palm beach sheriffs dodge intrepid cop car here in the UK thought i would join.
I take the car to american car shows etc do the odd wedding and prom night and as you can imagine i get more attention and looks from the public its great fun..........supose it is a little out of its patrol area..... LOL
I,ve had the car a little over 3 years now its done 103000 miles and never missed a beat it still looks and runs great.
Now for your help the headlights are starting to let it down they have gone dull and hazy replacements from the US seem to be a lot of money and then there the shipping cost to the UK. I,ve seen a set on ebay US which seem very good for the price can any body tell me if they are o.k
dont want to ship them over the pond if they are naff.

Since the gap in the right tail pipe was causing so much trouble and has been taken care of, the PCM has been happy and I have regained some mileage.
Problem is that I am still getting less miles than when I had the cats on, and this is my a little bit.

When REVENGE had cats on and stock manifolds, the car got 24-29 to the gallon, impressive for a 2.5 H.O. engine. I may have even reached 30 at some times.
So, at the 3/4 tank mark, with cats, the car could go as far as 120 (or more miles), and without, it's about 110.

I did this stupid mod hoping to get better mileage and nothing more.

I can't wait to get the cats back on.

That's a strange coincidence. This morning, I had an odd dream that I did own another Intrepid, a maroon 3.3L.
Dual exhaust and a few other mods. The cluster was a color screen showing everything, and if any codes comes up, a small warning pops up and gives a brief description.

I don't know where the hell it came from. LOL

There are 2 good CAI kits for the LH vehicles. K&N makes a kit but is something like $230.
There is a member (JoeKD) of http://www.lhforums.net/ that makes custom cold-air kits, slightly better numbers than K&N, and he charges $200 plus shipping.

If you buy either CAI kit, the kit for the 3.2 is the same as that of a 3.5/H.O. engine.

I have bought 2 CAI kits from JoeKD for both of my cars (2004 Intrepid SE 2.7, 2004 Dodge REVENGE 3.5 H.O. and never had a problem. There are many people in this country and Canada who have his kit installed and love it.

Or you can buy a flat filter to drop into your filter box, but you would not get as much as either kit I mentioned because of the stock set up and accordion tube.

I didn't get the vasectomy today.
Urologist wants the OK from the pulmonologist before he does this, he fears the risk of respiratory arrest during the clip and burn.

They said a safest method for the vasectomy on me (still with the pulmonologist approval) is general anesthesia. This, would cost $3000 without the doctor expenses...

So, my hopes of sterilization is shot down.

I have a 96 Dodge intrepid where it takes several attempts to raise the left front window. It usually goes a inch or so then I have to trip the up lever several times more to raise it. During hot weather, the window will not raise at all. The relay, fuse and switch check out ok. I suspect that there is a circuit breaker that is tripping the current. Is there a circuit breaker indigenous within the motor or at some other location? Do I need to replalce the entire motor assembly? Am I overlooking something else? All the other windows raise and lower OK.

you might try a junkyard for a set. the issue will be getting the bolts out without spinning the tackwelded nut on the backside of the frame. use plenty of PB Blaster and do not use any impact tools. use a breaker bar and a cheater pipe only, and take your time. As for the washers, I do beleive they do have steel washers. but without the rubber, the cradle will be banging against them and that could bend them enough to pull through.

There is a member here that had some manufactured for a group buy a while back.

I have been on a singles site for a few months, and not really followed up with any of it. I have gotten some "interest" but as i say, not followed up on any of it. I still really want my marriage to work, but as time goes on the chances seem slimmer and slimmer.

I get "flirts" from some seriously good possibilities, at least i think they are, but i am just not sure if i even want to move on to that stage yet. Ok guys. If you guys want to complain, at least complain effectively.

There used to be a member from a long time ago at di.net that really loved to bash the Intrepid, he's a douche but he sure did know how to complain. He created a website to complain. He actively spammed the interweb with the website. Now that's how to complain.

If you guys don't like Greg, then do something effective about it. Complaining on this board or the other one won't hurt him one bit.

Make a website like www.dodgeintrepidnetsucks.com or something like that. Then spam the internet with the website.

Make a youtube video about how shitty di.net is and post it and tag it appropriately. Shit on youtube gets PRIME attention on search engines. All you have to do is put the same search tags on it that'll get you di.net.

Write a simple but effective form letter that you all can send to each and every single one of the advertisers that show up on his site. So if an ad for ABCXYZ company shows up, look up their customer service email address (DON'T click on the ad itself cause that'll make him money) and email them with the letter. I realize that his ads are by Google and eBay, but this is actually to your advantage. If you can get thru to a few companies and they in turn complain to eBay and/or Google, they'll yank their ads from his site.

So if ABCXYZ is a US based company, appeal to them with specific US morals or beliefs. For example, say that you're appalled to see their ad show up at a site that limits free speech, a fundamental American freedom and that seeing advertising dollars being spent to support such a website only serves to discourage you from patronizing them and you'll be sure to pass on the word to all your friends and family. It would be even more effective if multiple members sent this form email to them.

Don Imus didn't lose his radio show until people started going after his advertisers. If Greg wants to make the site a commercial site, then use that against him.

Know how to complain effectively and you can bring down any company. Just be sure that when you do complain, stick to the facts.

Ohh oops. I took the poll to mean what is the worse repair you've had with your trep. I've never had to do anything major (knock on wood) with any of my two LH's, not even a brake job. The worse was replacing a battery when it was like -40 degrees out, so I took the easy way out and went to Sam's Club cause they offered free installation with purchase though I did have to pay them a $5 extra hassle fee. LOL! $5!!! I saved more than that by shopping at Sam's for the battery. Plus, I didn't have to do it in -40 degree temp! I would have paid $20 or more.

Like I mentioned, well, maybe not in this thread, but my whole setup basically cost me $25. The amp wiring and the LOC were from my old Trep. The amp I had gotten for free from some guy on Craigslist cause I bought a cd headunit from him for $30. He was like, do you want this 500W amp? I was like, hell yeah!

Then I went to buy one of those weird looking 5 sided 12" Sony Xplod subs (1100W) from some guy for $25 and cause he had it in a box for testing purposes so that I knew it wasn't blown or anything and was moving, he was like, do you need a box for that? I was like, ummm, if it's free. He was like sure. Then he asked if I could use yet another box. Again, I was like, if it's free. So I went to buy a 12" sub and came away with two nice carpeted boxes for free.

That is only to get into the academy, to get out you need to do the 20% more than your weight (I went and looked it up, after what Bruce said I thought I remembered something) Then after you graduate from the academy everything year the officer has to go back to school for about a week (for updates on laws and shit) and has to requalify with the sidearm.

HE DETESTED SCIENCE FICTION:
Einstein totally loathed science fiction because he felt that it changed the public's understanding of science, and instead gave them false illusions of things that could not really happen. In his own words, �I never think of the future, it comes soon enough.� That is why, he felt that those who saw stuff like flying saucers should keep their experience to themselves.

HE FAILED HIS UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE EXAM:
In 1895, at the age of 17, Einstein, one of the greatest minds ever born actually failed his university entrance exam into the Swiss Federal Polytechnical School. Actually he passed the Science and the Math sections, but failed in the rest of it like History and Geography. When asked later about this, he said that they were too boring and he didn't feel like answering them correctly!

EINSTEIN DIDN'T LIKE WEARING SOCKS:
Einstein "discovered" at a young age that the big toe always ends up making a hole in the sock, so he decided to stop wearing socks. This particular habit continued till his death. Moreover, he never dressed according to anybody's like or dislike. He felt that either people knew him or they didn't, so it didn't matter anyway, he reasoned.

HE WAS A CHAUFFEUR FOR A DAY:
Once Einstein was on his way to deliver a speech to university students. His faithful chauffeur not only drove his car, but was always present amongst the audience during al his speeches. Einstein had delivered this particular speech so many times that his chauffeur had actually memorized it. On that day Einstein, while on his way to the university, said aloud in his car that he felt tired. So his chauffeur suggested that they change places and that while he delivers the speech, Einstein could drive them back home. Their identities wouldn't be a problem because Einstein wasn't more than a university professor then and so no one in that university would recognize him. So he agreed but was a little thoughtful about what his chauffeur would do if he was asked any difficult questions by the students, after the speech. However, the speech went well but Einstein's thought came true. A student came up with a question. Here's what the chauffeur said �Why, that question's so simple, that even my chauffeur can answer it.� And so Einstein stood u from the audience and easily answered the question, much to the amazement of the audience.

HE WAS INSPIRED BY A COMPASS:
At a very young age, Albert Einstein was presented with a compass by his father for a birthday gift. After seeing the compass at work Einstein tried a lot to find out its working. He was really amazed after doing so and thus decided to find out all about the various forces existent in nature.

THE SECRET BEHIND HIS GENIUS:
After Einstein's death in 1955, his brain was removed from his head by Thomas Stoltz Harvey for research purposes. But this was done illegally. Later Einstein's son Hans Albert Einstein gave him permission to research on the genius brain. Harvey sent slices of Einstein's brain to various scientists throughout the world.

From these studies it was discovered that Einstein's brain had much more glial cells, the cells responsible for synthesizing information, in his brain than an average human being. Also, Einstein's brain lacked a certain wrinkle in it, called Sylvian fissure. This allowed easier communication of nerve cells with each other. Furthermore, his brain was denser and the inferior parietal lobe associated with mathematical ability was much larger.

1987 Chrysler Fifth Avenue, looks like the one in the pic
only it was Dark Blue, with a little more rust. We got it with 145,456 miles and sold it with 154,654 miles. It had the 5.2 V8, dark blue corintian leather (i think i spelled it right), that thing was a beast, I beat the shit out of it, and it would always come back for more! It was so comfortable to drive and ride in! If I ever come across another one I will definatly pick it up!

A buddy of mine is a funeral director and has been detailing on the side for years... he gets a lot of the upscale vehicles and commands $200-$400 per vehicle, all in a day's work (these people are not afraid to tip). It's tough to charge that kind of rate when you're dealing with a family member, but if you can pull it off that would be sweet! But as far as typical shop prices, my $159.99 was right in line with the market at the time...

Broke up with the girl...
Found out she was causing the chest pain ranging from mild to severe. I also have myself to blame for this (false hope, blind faith.)
Every time I invite her over, she calls out at the very last minute. She makes up some excuse and ultimately saying that 'life happens' when it doesn't happen at that frequency, not even in mine last year.
I had told her (many months ago) that if she's going to get shitfaced in a party with her friends, make up some excuse...
It's really sad if she drinks even though she told me she does not drink, period.
She also mentioned that when she was a store clerk, she sold alcohol to a minor without verifying the age, this was a part of a police sting. I also told her that it looks like she doesn't care who drinks at what age...Unless the 15 year old looked like he was 40.
She now knows that I couldn't trust her, lost all of it over a month ago, but couldn't get myself to say it yet.

I also told her that there are 3 simple things I look for in a female...
Understanding (she has)
Self-initiative (she doesn't have)
Honesty (she isn't)

We were just two strangers crossing paths, nothing more.

haha, okay. Well I'm proud of you guys. If it was reverse roles, I'm sure the answer would be "hit it".

But I agree. I know he is hapilly married and I won't do anything to jeapordize that between him and his wife. I won't even wear the low cleavage shirt. But I definately want to catch up on old times, the jokes, the stories, the getting caught in Biology class cheating, and just hug the guy. Of all people, I always wondered what happened to him and tried looking him up before with no luck. I will be a good girl and respect him as well as his wife. I can only assume that his wife knows we are meeting for dinner. If not, I'm just a friend who had/has a crush that will simply be a friend with a crush and that's it She will have nothing to worry about.

I don't know what his intentions are, but I don't think they are to hook up and sleep together. We truly had a great friendship and just stopped talking when I graduated high school and he still had another year.

It sure does bring back good memories though
